Lacuna is a finalist for “Innovator of the Year – Company” at the 2020 Australian Law Awards.
Lacuna is not a law firm. We provide business support, administration and management services and a community to a team of senior lawyers who work independently or in boutique firms.
Cofounders Allison and Bronwyn worked in law firms in Australia and overseas as lawyers and in support functions. We found it challenging to successfully manage our careers and other commitments in our lives.
We launched Lacuna in 2019 to help lawyers sustain careers through the different seasons of their lives.
By providing lawyers with an alternate career path, Lacuna gives them control of their career, their time and their client base. Lawyers can build their careers in a way that works with other parts of their lives. Lawyers have the freedom and support to build their business their way. We have seen innovations evolve as lawyers are able to adopt an agile approach and do things their way.
Lacuna gives individual lawyers and firms access to the support found in the mid-tier to large law firms.
Lacuna helps lawyers setting up their own practice or to efficiently manage their business. Lawyers can dedicate their work time to what they should be doing – focusing on their clients and building their business. Lacuna looks after the administration and other management tasks for a fixed and transparent monthly fee with no lock-in period.
Bronwyn was delighted to be recognised as a finalist for Legal Support Professional of the year.
Congratulations to:
- Melissa Lyons, winner of Innovator of the Year – Individual Award, and
- Herbert Smith Freehills, winner of Innovator of the Year – Company Award.
We wish all Innovators success in continuing with their innovations.
